Network | Virtual Interface | Update

This section describes how to update and modify a Virtual interface.

Global Settings

These are the attributes you’ll work with regarding this section:

Name. The system name for the virtual interface. This is not editable.
Virtual Interface tag. The identification to be used by the virtual interface. This is not editable.
IP Address. The network-layer IP address assigned to the interface. It can be edited and supports IPv4 and IPv6.
Netmask/CIDR. The subnet mask inherited by the virtual interface from its parent.
Gateway. Default gateway used by the virtual interface parent and inherited from it.
MAC. The link-layer MAC address inherited from its parent. Not editable.
Alias. Identifies the interface with an alias that can be easily accessed when configuring a farm or any other service.

To apply the changes, click on the Apply button. When the configuration is updated the virtual interface is brought up.
