Minimum requirements to install the ZNA hardware appliances are:

  • Rack space to install the hardware appliance.
  • ZEVENET firmware already included, follow the quick setup guide to access to the appliance the first time.

The software included in the ZNA Enterprise Edition is delivered under the terms of GNU Affero General Public License v3.

The ZNA products licensing model is related and associated with the number of nodes, so it’s needed as many appliances as nodes required. Resources like CPU, memory or throughput allocated per node are not relevant to the licensing model.

If a single node is required, only it’s needed to acquire one appliance license. If a cluster LB service is required, two appliance licenses are needed.

How does the evaluation work?

The evaluation of this product is free of charge and it allows to deploy, create, and use the real product for one month by default. Extensions of this period could be requested to the Sales Team through the contact form. During the evaluation period, pre-sales support is available.

Once the decision of purchase is made, it’ll be enough to issue a definitive activation certificate without the need for deploying the appliance again.

How to migrate from Community to Enterprise edition?

In order to migrate from Community to Enterprise Edition, it is required to redeploy the appliance, since the operating system is optimized for networking operations, and then a configuration migration process needs to be applied. Our technical team will assist to automate this migration from Community to Enterprise when required.

How many licenses do you need to build a cluster?

In order to build a cluster and obtain HA, it’s needed to acquire two licenses.

ZEVENET cluster is a stateful cluster which means that once the primary node is detected as down, the second one takes the control but the clients don’t experience any disruption. In order to achieve that, the second node is constantly synchronizing configurations, automatic processes, connections, user sessions, etc. So both nodes require to be online at every moment. That also permits that the switch between nodes is quite fast.

Is support included with the appliance?

The support service is not included with the appliance and it should be acquired a part of the product in order to get updates, security advisories and patches, hotfixes, development proposals, and assistance from our specialized Support Team. We can provide three different support plans for every application requirement, from Subscription to 24×7 support services.
